The sports tech industry had a problem: less than 20% women in the workforce, even fewer in leadership roles, need identified for talent pipeline expansion for all employers
Marilou founded WiST and built the global organization to change that, with programs that provided tangible results. And it worked.
Flagship initiative WiST Fellowship program: 115 WiST Fellows graduated, 80% now work in the industry, 42% in leadership roles
Talent Pipeline Enhancement: Over 7,500 candidates applied for roles from the WiST NETWORK where WiST corporate partners were Featured Employers.
Engagement and Education: Over 100,000 individuals globally reached through original content, programming and events. The WiST Career Toolkit provides evergreen invaluable advice and resources for any job seeker in any industry.
Improved Culture: From 2018 to 2024, Fellows reported a 25% increase in positive support on the job, company ethics and inclusivity. Supported by donations from over 60 corporate partners and startups including IBM, Nike, the NBA, and Comcast NBCU.

Led naming, branding, and launch of the AI pitching and throwing platform built on 40 years of data from legendary NFL and MLB coach Tom House.
Accomplishments:
Created and executed plan to launch business: 800% growth in followers/fan engagement within a few months from launch
Led marketing strategy with owned and earned media assets: 88M+ media impressions in the first 6 months
Growth capital secured: Developed investor presentation for CEO that led to successful fund-raise to secure further growth capital

Took a U.K.-based GPS player tracking product from unknown to market leader with consumers in the U.S. in one year.

Led the team for a venture-backed coach-athlete communications platform, beloved by the world’s top golfers and pros, including Jordan Spieth and Cameron McCormick, into a global B2B business in 20+ sports beyond golf
